We are an outstanding Church School

It is a great privilege to be the Headteacher of Welton St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy. Welton St Mary’s is a wonderful school- a thriving learning community – where every child is encouraged to discover and nurture his and her special gifts and talents through a stimulating curriculum. We have a very committed and dedicated team of staff who work incredibly hard to provide a safe and secure environment where every child can learn, flourish and thrive – academically, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. We aim to give each and every child the best experiences possible to enable them to grow into confident, responsible and successful adults, knowing that if they work hard to do the very best they can, they can aspire to be whatever they want to be.

We are fortunate to receive tremendous support from our parents and carers. The home- school partnership is one of exceptional importance to us as we firmly believe that this is the key to ensuring successful learning for each and every child.

The continued success of our school is dependent upon the strength of the partnerships we build with everyone in our school community including local preschools, secondary schools and  St Mary’s Church. Each of these partnerships is built on a basis of mutual trust and understanding enabling us all work together for our children.

Key to developing these strong relationships is clear and open communication. We always aim to keep parents  and the community informed and involved with what is going on in school through newsletters, the website and the village news.

This website provides you with information on our school, its aims, the activities we provide and something of its organisation; however this site can only give you a taster of the wonderful things that take place during a school day. If you would like to visit us and see Welton St Mary’s at work, please do not hesitate to contact school and I will be delighted to show you round.

At Welton St Mary’s each and every child’s happiness and success is at the heart of all that we do.

‘Together we care, learn and thrive.’
