RISE Attendance and Behaviour Hub

Proud to be a RISE Hub Lead School
At Welton St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy we are privileged to serve as a RISE Hub Lead School, helping strengthen attendance and behaviour across the East Midlands. Through our Hub work, we collaborate with partner schools to build expertise, share impactful practice, and support long-lasting improvement for all pupils.
How we support schools
Our RISE Hub programme focuses on empowering schools to create strong, consistent, and supportive environments where every pupil can thrive. We offer guidance and development across several core areas:
Understanding Barriers & Building Support
- Identifying the underlying causes of pupil absence.
- Strengthening relationships with families.
- Ensuring support is targeted, timely, and rooted in a strong understanding of the pupils families.
Developing Effective Attendance Structures & Behaviour Expectations
- Designing clear, robust systems and procedures that encourage early action.
- Embedding strong routines that ensure consistency across all staff.
- Creating a school culture where attendance is everyone’s responsibility.
Using Data with Purpose
- Making attendance and behaviour data meaningful and accessible.
- Supporting leaders to interpret trends and plan strategically.
- Enabling data-informed decision-making at every level.
- Empowering all staff to understand the data.
Graduated Responses That Work
- Establishing structured pathways for attendance and behaviour support.
- Building tiered behaviour systems that promote inclusion and positive conduct.
- Ensuring staff, families, and pupils understand the processes and procedures and expectations.
Implementing Proven Strategies
- Helping schools choose and apply evidence-based universal practices and interventions.
- Supporting the evaluation of impact and refinement of practice.
- Showcasing approaches that have already made a measurable difference.
Developing Staff Through Practice
- Providing practical training rooted in real scenarios.
- Building confidence through rehearsal, modelling, and feedback.
- Ensuring staff feel equipped to respond effectively and consistently through constant revisiting and resetting of policy, process, routine and expectations.
