School Council
Welcome to the School Council
As ambassadors for positive change, the School Council at Welton St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy is made up of pupils elected by their peers from Key Stage 2 to represent the views, ideas and voices of their classes. Each child also represents a Lower school class so the views of all children are listened to and heard.
This year, our main focus is supporting and leading a range of exciting events to celebrate our school’s 200th birthday. Through planning, organising and taking part in these special celebrations, School Council members will help honour our school’s history while shaping its future.
Alongside this, we are committed to making a difference beyond our school gates. As agents of positive change, the School Council will lead and support events to raise money for a variety of local, national and international charities. By organising fun, inclusive activities, we aim to encourage the whole school community to work together to support causes that help others.
Through these celebrations and charitable events, the School Council plays an important role in strengthening our school community, supporting Welton Village and contributing positively to the wider world.
